Have you ever walked through a forest and looked at the trees around you? Some are strong and sturdy, while others seem bent or withered. The same can be said for us. People who are grounded and strong make good decisions and they plan for the future.
On the other hand, a tree/person who is planted in the incorrect environment and doesn’t receive love and attention, their branches will become weaker, with stiff muscles and ligaments. These weaknesses are often reflected in the feet.
Our feet mirror our bodies. A person with an imbalanced wood element is often rigid with high arches or feet that are flat and inflexible. Tendons and ligaments on the toes are often shortened, causing the toes to be clawed.
The wood element refers to living, growing entities: trees, plants and the human body. This element reflects how well the ligaments, tendons and muscles hold our bodies upright. A wood imbalance can cause someone to be either flexible or rigid in their approach to life. Some may experience headaches, migraines and stress. The two major organs associated with this element are the gallbladder and liver. The same symptoms found in these meridians are a reflection of the wood element’s influence on our bodies.
The beautiful thing about reflexology is its ability to balance the body and correct imbalances in the body just by learning reflex points on the feet and how to effectively apply them in your own life.
Over the years I have worked on countless feet. I’ve taken this knowledge learned over the years to fully integrate the powerful effect reflexology has on my feet. It’s a gift I love to share.
